TradingCards.com reported sold for $2 million
TradingCards.com has sold for $2 million, according to a report by Elliot Silver on DomainInvesting.com published on 15 October 2026.
What was reported
- The name had been listed on the Afternic marketplace with an asking price of $2.5 million. It sold for $2 million.
- An Afternic representative told the site that the buyer found the domain through a search on GoDaddy.
- It was sold as a domain name only, not as a business or website. The seller asked to stay private, and the buyer was not named.
Our view
This is one sale and should not be read as a guide to what other names are worth. Two points are still useful for UK owners:
- Listings with a clear price can sell. Here the buyer reportedly came through a registrar's search results, not a broker's outreach. A visible asking price on the big marketplaces puts a name in front of people already searching.
- Reported sales are a small sample. Many sales are private and never published. Public lists such as NameBio and DN Journal are helpful, but they only show what people choose to report.

We have not seen the sale paperwork. The figures above are as reported by the source.
